Do you mean removing your decoder from your existing dstv now account or do you mean removing your phone device from your dstv now account ?
No worries how about if i show you how to do both
Removing your current decoder device/smartcard from your existing dstv now account
I always do these step when subscription on one of my decoders has expired but the other is still active , so I switch using the guide below
- Log into your dstv now account using a browser on phone or laptop or desktop computer
- Select the profile account icon in your top right corner
- A drop down menu will appear
- Select or click on update sign in details
At this point Another page will load
Select Dstv Package
Then click on Unlink Dstv Package button to unlink / remove your dstv decoder device from dstv now account.
At this point the device has been successfully been removed and the button under Dstv package has turned to Link Package
Removing your phone device from your existing dstv now account
If this is the case then you have either lost your phone or it has been stolen or you have bought a new phone.
In any of the above scenarios you can’t use you dstv now account on a new phone device because your account is still linked or registered to the old phone
So if you have the old phone , go to it
- Open the app
- Select more at the bottom of the screen
- Select settings
- Select manage devices
- Then look for the name of your device and select remove
At that point your dstv now account will be freed from the old phone device
Incase you have lost your old phone, you can’t do any of the above.
I recommend you use the chat and request for you dstv now account to be unliked from your old phone
When any of the above is done, you can now use dstv now on your new phone device
