An internet based, subscription, video on demand service. And by subscription, I mean you have to spend some money in order to use the service

Its supplemented by showmax mobile plan which allows interested users a preference to use the service using smartphones

As you gain an attraction to use the service, you need to have mainly three things;

An internet connection – 2mbps minimum and 4mbps maximum

A compatible device - Smart TV’s like Samsung, LG, Hisense and Android TV OS smart TV’s, Supported Android and IOS mobile devices, Personal computers and laptops, gaming consoles like XBox One and Play Station 4, set-top boxes like the dstv explora or the Safaricom big box

To start using the service for the first time, one must sign up using the website www.showmax.com or using the show max android app

If a mobile only or standard payment method is selected, one will not be entitled to the 14 days free trial

You can pay for your show max account with a credit card and Cheque card only if they enabled for online recurring payments and are 3D secure respectively.

If these are not enabled, you card will be declined with some these errors messages from the bank displaying on your screen

• 202 Decline - Expired card. You might also receive this if the expiration date you provided does not match the date the issuing bank has on file.
• 203 Decline - General decline of the card. No other information provided by the issuing bank.
• 204 Decline - Insufficient funds in the account.
• 205 Decline - Stolen or lost card.
• 208 Decline - Inactive card or card not authorized for card-not-present transactions.

A Subscriber can also pay showmax using PayPal.

Common Pay Pal errors include;

10417 Decline - Account not associated with a usable funding source. A credit card or Billing Agreement is required to complete payment. Inform the buyer that PayPal is unable to process the payment and redisplay alternative payment methods with which the buyer can pay. You can also ask the buyer to contact PayPal Customer Service at https://www.paypal.com/contactus. For Automatic payments, this information can be sent via email to the customer.

ShowMax Features
