The DStv Streama connects to the internet and to your TV, allowing you to stream from a variety of apps including DStv, Showmax, Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube and YouTube kids. It is a digital media player / TV Box with easy to use menus allowing you to stream content from different suppliers while using the same device, same remote and same interface. Unlike decoders, it does not require installation nor connection to a satellite dish.
The DStv Streama does not have an app store, instead it comes with ready loaded apps ready for use. The DStv Streama is suitable for anyone wanting to stream their content and does not require an active DStv subscription unless you wish to stream DStv content.

Remote Settings
Easy to use remote control and menus

To set up your DSTV Streama remote, follow these steps:
- Unbox your DSTV Streama device and remote.
- Insert the provided batteries into the remote control, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the battery compartment.
- Connect the DSTV Streama device to your TV using the included HDMI cable. Plug one end of the cable into the HDMI port on the Streama device and the other end into an available HDMI port on your TV.
- Connect the power adapter to the DSTV Streama device and plug it into a power outlet.
- Turn on your TV and switch the input source to the HDMI port where you've connected the Streama device.
- The DSTV Streama welcome screen should appear on your TV. If not, ensure your TV is set to the correct input source.
- Press the "Power" button on the DSTV Streama remote. The remote should automatically pair with the device. If the remote does not pair, try moving closer to the device and pressing the "Power" button again.
Once your DSTV Streama remote is paired with the device, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process, including connecting to your Wi-Fi network, signing in to your DSTV account, and selecting your preferred language and location settings.
